Intentional Living Through Swedish Death Cleaning
What is Swedish Death Cleaning?
I know the label sounds morbid, but I promise it is not! Swedish Death Cleaning stems from the cultural norms of the Swedish people, who feel that it is an obligation to take care of their belongings and estate planning before they are gone so that their family members do not have to be overwhelmed when they pass. Margareta Magnusson introduced this concept to the world in her book, “The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning” back in 2017. It is a form of decluttering that shows love to your family and yourself. It creates a thought process of living intentionally and surrounding yourself with only those things that bring you joy and that will leave a legacy. What you leave behind tells a story of who you were in life. What story do you want to tell?
