My Story

I have spent the last eight years helping others tackle clutter and beautify their homes. Throughout this journey, I have learned a great deal. The families of the individuals I have assisted are often the most grateful after completing the process. They express gratitude for the burden of clutter being taken off their shoulders when their loved ones pass away. Possessions still need to be taken care of, but the process is much less stressful when there is a plan in place and everything is organized.

The bedroom in the pictures above was my last project before my father-in-law passed away. It was a rewarding endeavor where we decluttered and redesigned the entire home. I felt both excited and exhausted by the experience. Shortly after completing this project, we received the news that we had inherited everything my late father-in-law owned. When people heard about our inheritance, they congratulated us. However, upon seeing what we had inherited, I could only stand there, overwhelmed by dread. The state of the metal shed on the property was daunting, and the inside of the house was no better (pictures to come later).

Fast forward to the present: we are still working through the mess! Our daughter moved in temporarily so that we could claim residency and lower our property taxes. She recently moved to Texas, leaving us with the task of finally confronting the endless piles of garbage and belongings so that a new renter can move in.

I share this story to illustrate what can happen if you do not take care of your belongings and your home while you still can. I do not want anyone to face the stress and countless hours of manual labor because someone else chose not to consider the impact on those left behind.

Declutter and plan your estates now! Don’t overlook the items in your home and storage areas! Everything you bring into your life becomes someone else’s stress and burden after you are gone. Be kind and unselfish. Take care of everything now!
